2014 Internship Rotations

The internship rotation allocation has been released!

I am really fortunate to get my first choice out of the 10 preferences!

Next year-2014, I will be working in the following rotations, feeling really excited and looking forward to it!


Term 1 (3/2-4/5)- Cardiology (Simon O'Connor)
Term 2 (5/5-3/8)- Emergency Department (Jamie Christie)
Term 3 (4/8-2/11)- GP Kambah (Ed Quay)
Term 4 (3/11-1/2/15)-Orthopaedics (Bryan Ashman)

PGY1

This blog was specially created to record my upcoming journey & experience working as a junior medical officer (PGY1) in The Canberra Hospital (TCH) starting 2014, January 20.

I believe life is full of ups & downs, but the most important thing we all have to remember always is "there is light at the end of every tunnel", we just need to keep holding on!

I hope this blog will serve as a tool to remind me how fortunate I am to be able to serve the community as a doctor. This journey is going to be very meaningful and will be full of inspiring stories of the others- be it unfortunate, fortunate, sadness, happiness, strength, weakness, hope, regret and others.

No matter what the future leads me to, I hope as time passes, I will constantly improve myself and when my patients heard of the name "Dr. Tan" , they will proudly say to others: "That's my doctor!"
